Built to Run Forever

Most smart controllers fail when your internet does. Ours doesn't. The lighting controller stores its schedule in dedicated EEPROM — non-volatile memory that persists through power cycles and doesn't depend on WiFi, the cloud, or any external system.

The onboard real-time clock runs on its own battery, rated for over 10 years of continuous timekeeping. Lose power, lose internet, lose everything — this controller keeps running your lights exactly as scheduled.

If you never connect it to the internet at all, it will still work. Program it once via Bluetooth or local network, and it executes that schedule indefinitely.

What Sets This Apart

  • Dedicated EEPROM

Schedule stored in separate non-volatile memory — not on the microcontroller's flash, not in RAM, not in the cloud

  • Battery-backed RTC

High-quality real-time clock with 10+ year battery — this controller won't forget what time it is

  • No dependency on anything

No WiFi required. No cloud required. No app required. Program once and walk away.

Technical Specs

DAC
12-bit digital-to-analog converter

Off-board precision DAC — not the microcontroller's internal converter. 4,096 discrete brightness levels.

OUT
0-10V signal output

Industry-standard control voltage for modern LED fixtures and drivers

CH
Dual independent channels

Run your veg room and bloom room from a single controller — separate schedules, separate ramps

PWR
5V USB power

Standard USB power — any phone charger works as a replacement

12-Bit 0-10V Control

Modern LED grow lights use a 0-10V signal for dimming control. We generate this with an off-board 12-bit DAC — a dedicated digital-to-analog converter separate from the microcontroller. This matters because precision matters.

12-bit resolution gives you 4,096 discrete brightness levels between 0% and 100%. That's enough to dial in exactly the light intensity you want — and enough to create smooth, gradual sunrise and sunset transitions without visible stepping.

Current production models ship configured for DigiLumen fixtures and other lights using RJ11/RJ12 connectors. We can build to suit almost any brand — just ask.

Sunrise & Sunset Ramping

In sealed grow rooms, sudden lighting changes cause humidity spikes. Plants transpire differently under light than in darkness — flip the lights instantly and you get condensation, drip, mold risk. Ramping fixes this.

Gradual
Configurable ramp duration
Set your sunrise and sunset transition time from minutes to hours — match your HVAC's response time
Smooth
12-bit stepping
4,096 levels means imperceptible transitions — no visible flicker, no sudden intensity changes
Natural
Better for plants (possibly)
Some evidence suggests gradual transitions improve plant health and yields — it certainly doesn't hurt

Two Channels, One Controller

Veg room on 18/6. Bloom room on 12/12. Different schedules, different ramp profiles, running simultaneously from the same device.

Each channel operates independently with its own on time, off time, sunrise duration, and sunset duration. Configure them differently or identically — whatever your setup requires.

Both channels have manual override capability. Need to work in the room? Override to 10% for a few minutes without disrupting your schedule. The controller returns to normal operation automatically.

Common Configurations

Channel A — Vegetative 18/6
6:00 AM → 12:00 AM, 30 min ramps
Channel B — Flowering 12/12
7:00 AM → 7:00 PM, 45 min ramps

Presets available: 12/12, 18/6, 20/4, or fully custom

Hardware & Connectivity

Processing & Wireless

  • Powerful microcontroller with dedicated peripherals — real-time clock, EEPROM, and DAC all offloaded from the main CPU
  • WiFi connectivity for remote monitoring and control — but not required for operation
  • Bluetooth Low Energy for local configuration without network access
  • Over-the-air firmware updates — new features pushed automatically when connected
  • Dark room aware — indicator lights automatically dim when sensors detect lights-off, protecting your dark cycle

Access From Anywhere

  • TLS-encrypted connection to our servers — monitor and adjust from any phone, tablet, or computer, anywhere in the world
  • Local-first when you're home — on the same network, the device responds directly without round-tripping through the internet
  • SMS and phone call alerts — get notified immediately if the device goes offline or schedules are interrupted
  • Historical graphs included — 48 hours of real-time data and 7 days of aggregated data, free, no subscription
  • Web app works on any browser. Native Android and iOS apps available.
  • No subscriptions. No monthly fees. One purchase, lifetime access.

Optional Touchscreen

The display model includes a capacitive touchscreen for direct interaction. Change schedules, adjust ramp times, trigger overrides — all without opening an app.

Or skip the screen entirely and use our web interface or mobile app. The headless unit is functionally identical — the display is purely a convenience for on-site control.
